He has become famous thanks to his talent. His rise to fame shows that anyone can get famous if they work hard enough.
Bieber had become interested in singing back in the mid-2000s in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario. When he was twelve years old he entered an American Idol-type contest in Stratford despite having practically no singing lessons. He amazingly finished second in that contest.
He would soon use the popular YouTube website to post videos of him singing various songs. This was done as a means of making it easier for him to share his talents with his friends.
